Dawn Robertson, an accomplished and visionary leader, has an impressive executive background, including her roles as Chief Executive of Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct and HOD of Gauteng Sports, Arts, and Culture. She also played a pivotal role as Programme Manager of the Gauteng 2010 FIFA World Cup Technical Task Team. Dawn’s expertise in the creative and visitor economy is demonstrated through her ground-breaking leadership of the CreateSA project. This initiative empowered numerous young creatives throughout South Africa. Under Dawn’s guidance, Constitution Hill has undergone a remarkable transformation, becoming a globally acclaimed tourist destination and dynamic creative hub. By embracing the power of storytelling and repurposing old structures into hybrid spaces, it now offers new experiences and functions. In recognition of her accomplishments, Dawn was honoured as one of the top 50 innovators of modern museums worldwide in 2022. Currently, a creative catalyst at Jozi my Jozi, a movement that seeks to inspire the people of Johannesburg to revitalise the city by connecting individuals from various sectors, private and public, as well as everyday citizens. It aims to create a snowball effect of positive change that spreads across South Africa by uniting people who want to make a difference.
