Lucy MacGarry

Lucy MacGarry is the Co-Director of Latitudes Art Fair and Latitudes Online. In September 2019, MacGarry launched the Latitudes Art Fair at Sandton City. Prior to this, she has held the following positions: Director of Lucy MacGarry Art Advisory, Curator of the South African Pavilion at the Venice Biennale; Curator of the FNB Joburg Art Fair; Curator of the Spier, Nando’s and Hollard Collections, Gallery Director of David Krut Projects and owner of L’MAD Collection. In her curatorial endeavours, MacGarry follows an inclusive approach to present contemporary African artists at the forefront of both national and international artistic debate. She holds a master’s from Witwatersrand University, Johannesburg, and an honours from UCT’s Commerce Dept.
