Augmenting the Archive: Exploring AR and Digital Preservation for Accessibility & Interactivity

In this practical, hands-on workshop, participants will explore innovative approaches to collection care, community engagement, and technology integration through two completed heritage activation case studies from the Morija Museum & Archives in Lesotho and Seriti Sa Makhoarane Heritage Tourism Trust (SSM). Participants will collectively investigate new models for research, preservation, accessibility, storytelling, and public participation to advance these approaches within African institutions.
